Sometimes during surveys you are not asked for your Prolific ID. Other times you are not provided with a completion code. Here is some information which explains what to do if this happens.
"I was not asked for my Prolific ID":
In some instances you will not be directly asked for your "Prolific ID" (the long identification code you have to paste into the survey). This is because we have a new feature that automatically passes on your unique Prolific ID when you begin the survey!
If you have any concerns, once you have completed the survey please go to your submissions. You should see your submission "awaiting approval". If it is there - all ok!
"I was not provided with a Completion Code":
Researchers are supposed to provide these codes, but sometimes they forget. The study may also be designed to register your submission automatically as complete upon finishing the survey, and you will brought back to the Prolific website.
If you are asked for a "completion code" and do not have one please make sure to click the option stating you did not receive a code. From there you will be told to type in "NOCODE".
Again, if you have any concerns, once you have completed the survey please go to your submissions and check to see it is there "Awaiting Review" (meaning all is well!).
If you do the above and still do not see the study you just completed in your submissions, please contact the support team.
